Working together

  • Parent/Carers are the most important person in a child’s development. They know first hand the child’s likes and dislikes.
  • It is important to us to build strong relationships with the parent/carers so they feel comfortable to share the unique knowledge they have of their child, so we can understand the child’s interests and needs.
  • We will always be there to share with you your child’s day when you come back to collect them.
  • We are always here to listen to any concerns you may have and offer advise where needed, e.g with a child’s eating difficulties or behaviour issues.
  • We are happy to help plan activities for you and your child at home to enhance their development further.
  • We have an annual Christmas party and Summer Picnic.
Tapestry Online Learning Journal
  • Your child’s key person will track their development and share this with with you through the Tapestry online learning journal. Please share your experiences at home on Tapestry too.
  • We regularly keep you informed and up to date with events at Little Sprouts, using Tapestry.

Parent Testimonies

“Both of my children loved their time at Little Sprouts. Never an issue going in in the morning because they know they are going to have the best time and be nurtured and cared for by an amazing team of ladies! Communication is great and the team goes over and above to accommodate families and their needs.”

“Little Sprouts has been an incredible experience for my daughter. She started at age 14 months and is now 3. The staff are caring, attentive and create a nurturing environment for the children. I have seen my daughter’s confidence grow and flourish, she always comes home with a smile on her face. I couldn’t recommend Little Sprouts more highly.”

“My daughter joined Little Sprouts soon after the COVID pandemic came to an end. She was super shy, nervous and not used to being in a different environment. We also had the added stress of multiple food intolerances and I was planning to go back to work full time. Becky and her wonderful team have been nothing but fantastic! They ensured a smooth settling in and have been so supportive in every way. Nothing was ever too much trouble and every meal was considered. My daughter was never left out with food options and they would go above and beyond to find safe alternatives. On leaving the nursery my daughter is now confident and has really blossomed in every way. I would certainly recommend Little Sprouts for anyone wanting a warm and comforting environment with passionate staff who really care for each and every child”

“Having two children looked after by Little Sprouts, I would highly recommend this small, attentive, friendly nursery. As a family who prefers routine, we found Little Sprouts endeavours to follow our ‘home routine’. We are also impressed with their amazingly varied dinner menu. Our first child attended Little Sprouts around nine months old. At the point of starting she also went to a childminders (as we wasn’t sure which setting would be the best for her). She eventually attended only at Little Sprouts as we felt she got on better at nursery. An initial doubt of ours was that Little Sprouts wasn’t attached to a ‘school’ as such and how our child would get on when she started school in a totally new environment. However starting school was no problem for her; Little Sprouts had guided her well for the transition. Our second child was only four months old when he started – a new job opportunity had come up and though I was torn with taking this opportunity, I knew he would be in good hands.”

“My daughter has been attending Little Sprouts for just over 6 months, but right from the very beginning, she has seemed so happy there – it’s almost like a second family! Lucy, my daughter’s key worker, along with the rest of the team, are so lovely and nurturing, and offer constant support, care and attention to her development. Every day she attends, I receive feedback regarding her eating habits, her daily activities within the setting, and what she finds interesting etc. On top of that, I privately receive monthly updates regarding her progress and future goals, and these also include images captured of her throughout that month within the setting. It’s so lovely to be able to follow her development in both the written form and with photos. Prior to attending Little Sprouts my daughter was struggling with sleeping independently, however after a short period of persisting with sleeping on her own at nursery, she was sleeping in her own room and throughout the night – something I felt I could never achieve on my own and could only dream of. Her eating habits weren’t brilliant and we’re still encouraging her to try new things, but she’s come a long way with the things she will now try, all thanks to the nursery. It’s these little things she has evolved with, which has had a major positive impact at home. I would highly recommend Little Sprouts to anyone looking for a nursery in the area and feel very lucky to have found such a wonderful and happy environment for my daughter to continue to flourish in.”
